All of us parents imagine creating this picture perfect family photo that is pure perfection. We want every member of the family to look perfect and smile perfect. We plan everything out to the last detail, the perfect coordinating outfits for every family member, etc.
Then we start stressing over our children having bad days, teething, being difficult, or shy.
But here is a little secret: perfection is the child with a natural smile, comfortable, and in their element. Perfection is to capture your children as they are now in this stage of life. So although I do pose or position the children for a photo, it is important to remember children are only children. Let them be silly, let them explore, let them be themselves. Those moments that may stress you out now, those will be the treasured moments when your children are grown.
