Walgreens Printed: The whole image is discolored, weird lines appear throughout, contrast is off, sharpness is off throughout the image, they added shadows. This print looks like a completely different picture than the original.

ORIGINAL IMAGE

I grew up using a film camera and used to take my film to Walgreens and Walmart to get developed. I was a young teen so I never paid attention to the actual quality, but I am pretty sure they used to be printed a better quality than they are now.

Living in the digital picture age, I hadn’t needed to have any pictures printed for many years. When I started taking more time and effort with the images I was taking I decided I wanted to have some printed to keep. (Let me throw in, there is NOTHING like the feeling of seeing those special images printed and in your hands to put on display.) I was completely shocked at the quality of the paper and prints I had received. You can see the lines of ink from the printer and the colors were off. Whites were not white, warm images looked orange and duplicated photos that were in the same order didn’t even look like they came from the same place let alone the same printer in the same order.
